I have owned this for over a year now.When it arrived,it was dented on the bottom.I was able to mend it and I kept it since it was not noticeable once in position.If your room is above 68 degrees,it starts condensating inside and you need wipe out the water every few days.Not what I want to do in the summer months when it is 90 out.This has 2 fans in the back of the unit to cool the coils and 1 dumped after about 2 months.Again I didn't want to lug this out.I took it apart and put a pc case fan in its place.Back up and running and the pc fan cooled just as well which I get to next.This will do fine for drinks,but I get a little worried putting milk and lunch meats in there.I can't say how cool it gets cause I didn't throw a thermometer inside,but it just seems like it could do better.Mind you I have not gotten sick from anything I did keep in there.Keep in mind that this does not have a compressor,it uses peltier technology.

The item is really expensive and on top of that it does not cool food as it should. It's very narrow so there's not much space for food and drinks. I will recommend not to buy it, it's not worth the price.

I chose a retailer that had a good reputation, but sold it at a premium price - it arrived in good shape. The unit is very lightweight, like a glorified cooler, leaving me feeling like I overpaid for this.... The good? The only sound comes from two quiet fans. At the warmest possible setting it holds a steady 60 degrees, which is just what I wanted. Perfect for storing things in a "cool, dry place" during the summer months. I expect it to use very little electricity, and it makes for a nice little alternate fridge!
